The actor we are talking about is none other than Govinda. Govinda was born in 1963 to former actor Arun and singer-actress Nirmala Devi. Govinda grew up in poverty. Neither of his parents was able to succeed in the industry and the family was also not very good. His father lost everything due to unsuccessful home production. After which the family moved from their Carter Road bungalow to Virar, where Govinda was born. The actor had told in an old interview that while growing up, he saw that his mother hardly had money to buy food, and she had to borrow ration from the grocery store to survive.

In the end of 80s, Govinda gave many hit films which established him as a bankable star but in 90s he proved his mettle as a comedy star and became a superstar.
With hits like Raja Babu, Coolie No.1, Deewana Mastana, Dulhan Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Anari No.1, he became one of the biggest stars of Bollywood. After several flops, Govinda got a second breakthrough in his career in 2006-07 with hits like Bhagam Bhag and Partner. The actor’s current net worth is estimated to be around Rs 150 crore.
